Removing 2Create Courses
The number one question I’ve received recently has been about my 2Create courses, many of which are now set to "private." After my dad fell ill in March, I knew I couldn’t dedicate time to supporting students across two websites, especially given my focus on PSP. So, I decided to temporarily hide the courses to prevent new enrollments.
Reevaluating My Approach
Once things settled down personally, I had to be honest with myself about how I was spending my time and energy. While I was making some income from my 2Create courses, I realized I wasn’t putting in the effort needed for effective marketing. In fact, marketing has always been a bit of a hurdle for me—it intimidates me! So, instead, I’ve found myself more drawn to creating T-shirt designs, where I’m seeing much greater rewards.
The Power of Print on Demand (POD)
For a long time, affiliate marketing and AdSense were my primary online income streams. But, over the past year, POD has become my top favorite and most rewarding method. What’s surprising me is that, despite not having a design background, I’m now creating intricate artwork and selling thousands of designs—something I never thought possible.
This success highlights something important: Anyone can do this, regardless of their artistic abilities. One of my T-shirts has generated over $20,000 in royalties!
Thinking Before You Leap
With the potential for significant income, POD isn’t for everyone. It requires a genuine desire to learn and grow within the business—and a willingness to embrace software skills if you want to scale. For long-term success, building a brand is crucial, rather than relying on passive traffic and income.
My initial motivation was financial need, but I’ve stayed in this space because of my genuine love for the creative process. It’s therapeutic, and coming up with fresh ideas keeps me engaged.
However, there are downsides to consider, such as image theft. This has been a significant disappointment, leading me to use aliases for POD accounts and be cautious about sharing my work openly.
In summary, while I’ve made some changes to my online ventures, it’s all about finding what truly resonates with you—and what brings you joy in the process.
